KeymasterHUZZAH!! Great report!
Wild to see the Endeavour so early, especially without a helmsman. I expect that to cripple the English in the early game. Though it should have made them the LEAST likely faction to be attacked lol. I like seeing Ramsgate so early.
Seeing Pride Rock again made me think of the Spanish riches last year… and then they find almost the most valuable resource with a really good treasure fleet. Uh oh.
Feeling kinda bad for the Americans.
Wow Smaug already! O_O That sounds really cool. I don’t think I’ve seen a campaign where a sea dragon harassed gold runners very early on.
Brilliant to transfer Plague to a sea monster.
It is exciting to see such devastating combat so early, with the English and Spanish. I’ve said it before, but I feel like early game CG combat can be extra memorable because it’s easier to remember the factions and ships involved compared to late-game wars.
20:00 GREAT shot of Smaug! Exciting to see the dragons in general, reminds me of CTO a little. Though I don’t think I would have attacked the French yet. 23:06 And there you go. XD
24:47 Sad but perfect shot. Really gives a foreboding look at Voya Nui and almost looks like a pit you cannot escape from… it can be very dangerous.
Love your 3D representation of the sargasso sea. Didn’t know what it was at first. XD
I like the idea of putting a musketeer on a sub hunter. Makes a lot of sense, especially given the 2 hits/mast rule.
I’m happy to see the Guichuan being used as a true treasure ship, I don’t think I’ve really done that with her yet.
Beast move by the English at the end, I was getting worried they would be eliminated soon. Though the Endeavour will have her hands full if she tries to tow the LP back with the SC and Matthias potentially hounding her.Ben
Keymaster@Avery: Welcome aboard matey! Glad to have you here.
After that I went through a period where my main hobby was video games, but over the years I grew bored of video games.
I grew somewhat bored of them, but for me it was mainly the time consumption spent and how addictive they were. I mostly quit video games around 2014, shortly before I became much more active with Pirates. I’m glad I made the change, since I’ve been able to positively impact people by giving them an easier way to get back into the game (through this site and various resources/compilations). I also feel as though I remember epic moments in Pirates CSG games more than those in video games, though it may just be because many of the Pirates memories are more recent (and I can look back at them).

Keymaster@Xerecs: Yeah, I think I might up her cost. XD
Hera
Type: Ship
Faction Affiliation: Pirate
Rarity: LE
Point Value: 23
Number of Masts: 10
Cargo Space: 7
Base Move: S
Cannons: 4S-4S-4L-4L-4L-4S-4S-4S-5L-5L
Ability: Junk. Crew Protect. If this ship shoots at a ship that was previously shot at by another ship this turn, she gets +1 to her cannon rolls against that ship this turn. If this ship is within L of the Zeus this turn, both ships get +S to their base moves.Crew Protect: This ship’s crew cannot be eliminated unless she sinks.
Flavor text: Named for the Greek goddess and sister-wife of Zeus, the Pirates built the Hera to complement Blackheart’s massive flagship. True to her namesake, the Hera is a true “mothership”, keeping her crew safe while exhibiting extreme rage against those who have wronged her.

KeymasterHYPE!! 😀 I’m quite excited about this, especially because it will hopefully give me something exciting and Pirates-related to watch while I eat. XD What a big ruleset!
As usual, love that a shipwreck’s cannons can be used.
So exciting to see your custom islands in play once again! So players always roll for the Voya Nui eruption in that circumstance, or just players docking at the island that round? Kinda wanna see a big battle over some upgraded areas of Voya Nui.
I like the Lagoon Island!! Takes me back to EE 2015 for a moment, but I love how you’ve made it unique and new. Thank you for introducing me to the word portage. The interior dock angle should be interesting. I assume the ship being portaged cannot be shot at while in transit?
Bone Temple Island is begging to be abused. If you could park a Treasure Ship full of oarsmen there and provide adequate protection… O_O
Interesting how colonies and ports can use repair actions. Relatively cheap “barriers to entry” to make multiple launch points, so it will be interesting to see if any faction(s) can develop a quick island hopping strategy of launch points out of the gate.
Love that you’re trying the Quest idea. Especially after the ruminations of sorts between Sariouriel’s Century of the Empires and our own Caribbean/World endeavors.
Only one of each quest can be accepted by each faction. Each faction can only complete a quest twice.
Do they have to complete it once or twice to move on and accept a new quest? Do factions always get to pick quests? (doesn’t look like it’s at random)
The Quest Fort is immune to terrain, but can it be placed on it? For example, to move around on an iceberg or be used to partially block a fog or whirlpool exit location.
I like the “capture” quest… might be tough to get a good arbitrage going, but maybe swap the Grand Wind in for HMS Dreadnought. 🙂 Or Jikininki for Banshee’s Cry lol. The reward for 2 Rums is funny. I realize it will be logistically rather difficult, but I’m a little worried that a “crops arbitrage strategy” could become too lucrative, as you could potentially exchange “free” crops into the most valuable resource. Although it wouldn’t be sustainable with the Quest fort moving around so much. I think the rewards for sinking 5/10 enemy ships are a little weak actually, for how difficult that is (especially given 2 hits/mast). I have a bad feeling Hidden Trove will be worth more than 125 gold… XD.
Sounds like it will be a grand time, I’m very excited, especially with all the new stuff!
Ben
KeymasterRegarding Ransom; this from the Code:
-Friendly abilities (cancellers, doctors, etc.) cannot affect a crew with this keyword.
What part of the original keyword would indicate that? I realize it’s a big headache if you cancel Ransom after you’ve captured the Ransom crew, but I don’t see how you would know you couldn’t without specifically looking in the Code.
Ben
KeymasterWould the ship inside be able to fire its cannons as long as it could draw a line of fire that didn’t cross a tentacle?
Yes, and I’ll change that in the spreadsheet to reflect it.
With them on here and the other condition met, you’re looking at something like +9-10 to boarding rolls, enough to take out other ten masts!
Indeed, she has the potential to be a really fun combo ship. I would probably try to work something out with the 3 10+ crew, though synchronizing abilities might be tough even with all the Cursed crew that cost that much. From the word Pantheon I decided upon that main flavor ability… “a group of particularly respected, famous, or important people”; “all the gods of a people or religion collectively”. The Pantheon is designed to house some of the most powerful crew the Cursed have to offer, all in one place when they don’t have a ship of their own.
The scariest part would be if you could get all the conditional abilities to stack up at once – if you set things up right, you would get all three bonuses. Add the inevitable glut of offensive abilities that the necessary crew would be carrying, and you’d effectively have +2 to all 10 cannon shots in addition to lots of other stuff. Certainly willing to increase the cost… thinking about the possibilities, she might not be expensive enough.
Out of the last 3 days of stuff, I think my favorite is actually the Berzerker with linked crew, but they’ve all been fun to make.

KeymasterPantheon
Type: Ship
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: LE
Point Value: 40
Number of Masts: 10
Cargo Space: 8
Base Move: S
Cannons: 4S-4S-4L-4L-4L-3S-3S-2L-3S-3S
Ability: Junk. This ship ignores the first hit she takes each turn as long as she has all of her masts. This ship gets +1 to her cannon rolls against forts within S of her. When this ship reaches her cargo limit, she gets +1 to her cannon rolls. If this ship’s point limit is reached by her assigned cargo, she gets +1 to her boarding rolls. If this ship is assigned at least 3 Cursed crew that cost at least 10 points each, she gets +1 to her d6 rolls.Flavor text: There have been so many powerful Cursed officers joining the ranks that Xenthalos doesn’t always have a ship to assign them to. The Pantheon was raised from the depths of an ancient underwater Cursed city to house all manner of powerful creatures. The ship excels when crewed with great leaders, with near-certain doom befalling her enemies when fully optimized. The ship’s original constructors took the fore and after “castles” to new heights, with top-heavy stonework at the bow and stern of the ship slowing her down but making her a monster in close-quarters combat.
This would have some unique artwork, with the forecastle and quarterdeck/etc areas being circular areas of built up stone.

KeymasterThis might be my silliest idea yet for Pirates of the Epic Seas. Not expecting people to take it completely seriously. I realize it breaks a lot of inherent rules or abilities, and the rules questions would be more trouble than it’s worth. However, might as well post it and see what people think. 🙂
Hellish Nightmare Frenzy
Type: Ship
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: LE
Point Value: 30
Number of Masts: 12
Cargo Space: 4
Base Move: S
Cannons: 3S-3S-2S-2S-4S-4S-3S-3S, 4L-3L-3L-4L (First 8 for tentacles, last 4 for ship masts)
Ability: ? This ship is surrounded by a kraken game piece. It moves and acts like a ship, with the tentacles able to fire as normal without following the kraken rules. Enemy ships may target the kraken by drawing a line of fire to any part of it, but they may also target the ship if they can draw a clear line of fire to the ship that does not cross a tentacle. If the ship inside this game piece sinks, this game piece gains the Kraken keyword and functions as a kraken.Flavor text: Arguably the most horrendous innovation seen in the latest Cursed revival, this abomination of masts surrounded by tentacles is more of a scare tactic than a warship. Having only recently concocted the bizarre conglomeration together, Valmung and the Sargasso Nightmare are satisfied with their work.
For simplicity, I would say it shouldn’t be considered a sea creature… I guess? Yikes!

KeymasterGame Idea: round earth with home islands close together on edges of map, HI Raiders mandatory/every ship has HI Raider. Include Wine (UT) as well.
This is inspired by my pair of amazing 4×100 games, in 2015 and 2019. Forcing every fleet to have at least one HI raiding ability is a fun way to guarantee some chaos and wild action. XD When combined with round earth and UT’s that aid in home island raiding… yikes. 😀
Ben
KeymasterTaking a little break from the loa/voodoo for now, as naturally I’ve resumed thinking about things even more grand…. XD
Berzerker
Type: Ship
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: LE
Point Value: 42
Number of Masts: 10
Cargo Space: 5
Base Move: L
Cannons: 4L-3L-2S-2S-2S-3L-3L-4L-4S-4S
Ability: Junk. Cannoneer. S-Board. Sniping. This ship gets +1 to her cannon rolls against ships she did not shoot at first this turn.
Link: Berserk OverlordS-Board: As part of a move action, this ship can initiate a boarding party against a ship up to S away from her, without having to ram. The boarded ship can’t use any boarding bonuses.
Sniping: You may double the range of this ship’s cannons each turn, but you must roll a 6 to hit.Her “unique” ability means that she gets the bonus on any ships she shoots at NOT including the ship she shot at first. She can shoot at the first ship with a shot, shoot at a different ship with the bonus, and then return to the first without the bonus. There’s probably a better way to word it.
Flavor text: Some say the Berzerker would cause devastation and chaos without a single member of her crew aboard. To regular sailors, it seems as though the ship is possessed to seek and destroy. Rumors abound that the vessel is actually a terrible dragon from a mythical age brought back to life in ship form by Xenthalos himself.
The ship’s artwork would be entirely black and dark red, with a dragon’s head figurehead and possibly some flame designs.
Berserk Overlord
Type: Crew
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: LE
Point Value: 12
Ability: Once per turn, roll a d6. On a 1, you may give any ship in your fleet +S to her base move this turn. On a 2, you may give any ship in your fleet +L to her base move this turn. On a 3, you may give any ship in your fleet +1 to her cannon rolls this turn. On a 4, you may give this ship the same action twice. On a 5, you may give any ship in your fleet an extra action. On a 6, you may give an enemy ship an action.
Link: BerzerkerFlavor text: Occasionally mistaken for Doragon the Magnificent, the Berserk Overlord can shift into his dragon form at will. He was borne in Hell, and has now risen from the depths of ocean trenches to command Cursed legions.
Would look a little like this but with more of a dragon’s head in his dragon form.
Hoping the costs are good enough for playtesting; as always I’m willing to change them.

KeymasterDinclinsin
Type: Crew
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: C
Point Value: 7
Ability: Sac. Crew Killing.Sac: Once per turn, you can eliminate one of this ship’s crew to give her an extra action.
Crew Killing: Once per turn when this ship hits an enemy ship, also eliminate one crew from that ship.Flavor text: “Dinclinsin is a loa depicted as a white colonial slave owner, feared for his temper and cruelty in Haitian Vodou. He often carries a whip and is recognizable by his habit of putting whatever is given to him in his pockets. One of his favorite tricks is being able to pour rum into his pockets without getting them wet every time.”

KeymasterNice, I remember posting those first 2 at various times in the past. The third link didn’t work for me. I don’t think I’ve seen that MI picture in such size or detail though – very neat.
Ben
Keymaster@Ochobrazo2298: Welcome aboard!
Neither of those combos are legal because of this from The Pirate Code:
Jonah’s ability states that crew always take up space, which takes precedence over the “do not take up cargo space” part of this ability.
Ben
KeymasterWith Runes of Thor/Loki on a ship with Nemo’s Plans, can those be used on each player’s/faction’s turn, or only once per round?
Ben
KeymasterDo you remove the storm only on a natural 6, or will a modified 6 do it too?
Modified works too. I’ve never liked the “natural” distinction – I always prefer to apply bonuses. I also always interpret modified to work as the default – if natural or unmodified isn’t in the ability text, it shouldn’t require that restriction in order to work.
Is that once during her turn, or once during every player’s turn?
Only on the owner’s turn – I’ll change it to “Once during each of your turns you may move one iceberg or storm S in any direction.”
Ayida-Weddo
Type: Ship
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: SE
Point Value: 18
Number of Masts: 4
Cargo Space: 3
Base Move: S+S
Cannons: 2L-3L-3L-2L
Ability: Sea Monster. If an enemy ship misses this ship with a 1, eliminate that mast from the enemy ship. Once per turn when this ship is given a shoot action, one of her cannons can shoot a fire shot. Declare which cannon will shoot the fire shot before rolling a d6. If it hits, the target’s controller replaces one of her masts with a fire mast.Flavor text: Don’t let the “Rainbow Serpent” fool you with her pretty scales… this creature is more than capable of dishing out a devastating barrage of lightning and fire attacks.

KeymasterTime for a semi-annual visibility bump! 😀

KeymasterThe forced re-roll of Agwe Flambeau feels like some combination of the Rune UT’s and the Altar of the Loa UT.
It was actually directly inspired by Potions and Brews. I wanted to make a non-d6 trigger such as sac so it wouldn’t require a 6. (opponent rolls a d6, you try to roll a d6 to force a reroll, then opponent rerolls just feels like too many rolls for the situation)
Ben
KeymasterMight as well finish the Agwe Family today. As usual, basing things pretty much entirely on the flavor text.
Agwe Flambeau
Type: Crew
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: R
Point Value: 8
Ability: Eternal. Once per turn you may give this ship +1 or -1 to a terrain roll. Once per turn, you may eliminate one of this ship’s crew to force an opponent to reroll a die or dice roll. This ship gets +3 to her storm rolls. If this ship rolls a 6 in a storm, eliminate that storm.Flavor text: “Agwe Flambeau (“Agwe of the Torch”) is from a realm of boiling water, like a hot springs or an underwater volcanic eruption. He is appealed to give rivals bad luck in fishing or sailing. He is also invoked to avoid or remove bad luck at sea, to avoid sinking or drowning, or to stop or prevent rough seas and bad storms.”
Oya-Iansan
Type: Crew
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: U
Point Value: 9
Ability: Helmsman. Cannoneer. Once per turn you may move one iceberg or storm S in any direction.Flavor text: “The loa of strong winds and stormy weather. She is also a Petro warrior loa as Ogou Yamsan – one of the Ogoun Family – a riotous sailor or marine who revels in stormy sailing and war at sea.”
Papa Agwe
Type: Crew
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: C
Point Value: 3
Ability: This ship gets +1 to her boarding rolls. Place this crew face up during setup. Reduce the cost of all other crew placed on this ship by 1.Flavor text: “Papa Agwe is envisioned as a handsome African man with green eyes, sometimes lighter skin, often wearing a naval officer’s or sailor’s uniform. He is considered to be a gentleman who commands respect and embodies several ideals of masculinity including bravery, reserve and provision.”

Keymaster@Xerecs: Indeed, one of the ships in The Hourly Campaign has Loa’s Protection I believe. Is Ehlek a loa from real life Voodoo or a custom you made that references the loa?
On a flavor level, this might have some implications for stuff that JWDarkhurst and I have been working on.
Ooo nice, looking forward to it. I have missed this thread a bit the past month. I’m hoping to do at least one custom a day for the next 2 weeks, likely frontloaded with more over the next week or so.
Introducing: the Agwe Family
Agassou
Type: Ship
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: SE
Point Value: 26
Number of Masts: 4
Cargo Space: 1
Base Move: L
Cannons: 4S-3L-3L-4S
Ability: Titan. Extended Range. Two hits from the same shoot action are required to eliminate one of this creature’s segments.
Link: Crew with “Agwe” in nameFlavor text: “Agassou, Papa Agwe’s First Lieutenant, shown in the form of a crab.”
Here, the Extended Range is the “spear” of the crab’s claws, while the 2 hits/mast is the shield.
Met Agwe
Type: Crew
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: R
Point Value: 11
Ability: Once per turn, you may choose the fog exit location of one ship in your fleet. Once per turn, roll a d6. On a 5, you may give any ship in your fleet +S to its base move this turn. On a 6, you may give any ship in your fleet +L to its base move this turn. If this ship has a Unique Treasure with the ability of Homing Beacon or Jack’s Compass, this ship may reuse that Unique Treasure. (just like Nemo’s Plans)Flavor text: “Met Agwe is the Loa of direction. His territory is the winds and the currents, waves and depths of the oceans. He helps sailors find their bearings when lost at sea. He provides inspiration and guidance whenever an individual needs them in times of turmoil, loss, or indecision. He lives in a glorious palace under the seas. Patron of sailors, sea travelers and pirates. (“Master Agwe”)”

KeymasterIntroducing: The Loa
Relevant flavor from Wizkids game pieces:
DJC Papa Doc: Papa Doc discovered that he can possess both the dead and living, and he has set his gaze upon the purity that is Josephine Godiva. For if he makes her his one hundredth soul, he will have the power to take on the loa themselves.
RtSS Papa Doc: When Duc de Valois failed to deliver Josephine Godiva, Papa Doc turned all his wrath on France. With news of Godiva in the Polynesian triangle, he has begun stopping ships to find her. His luck is doubled by having her so close to the very altar where he plans to sacrifice her.
And one of my customs, the Voodoo Priestess: Serving as the primary Cursed connection to The Loa, this creature is not understood by a single sailor. Her voodoo practices are more than bizarre. It remains to be seen if she can grow a cult out of her wicked ways…
Backstory flavor: When Xenthalos met Papa Doc, he was pleased with his sheer cruelty. Having sacrificed the beautiful Mademoiselle Godiva at the formerly mythical Altar of the Loa, Papa Doc was finally able to communicate directly with the loa. Sensing the disturbance, Xenthalos rushed his “war chariot” (the Hell’s Brethren) to the Pacific in order to convince Papa Doc to hold back his aggression. Having brought the Voodoo Priestess with him, Xenthalos combined his powers with her and Papa Doc to not only summon the loa, but form an alliance.
He did it. Papa Doc killed Godiva. And now, just as the greatest war to ever envelop the oceans threatens to break out, The Cursed have summoned the loa, harnessed their power, and are working with them. O_O Things are about to go down!! O_O
Here they come….
Baron Kriminel
Type: Crew
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: U
Point Value: 12
Ability: Firepot Specialist. Possession. Once per turn roll a d6. On a 6, you may give an enemy ship an action.Firepot Specialist: Once per turn when this ship is given a shoot action, one of her cannons may shoot a firepot at a target within S of her. Declare which cannon will shoot the firepot before rolling the d6. If it hits, the ship’s controller replaces one of her masts with a fire mast. At the beginning of every turn, roll a d6 for each fire mast. On a 5-6 remove the fire mast; on a 1-2 the ship’s controller replaces another of her masts with a fire mast. When a ship has only fire masts, she must be scuttled on her next turn. When a ship docks at her home island or at a fort, remove all fire masts as a free action.
Possession: If an enemy ship is within S of this ship, you can use this ship’s action for the turn to try to possess a target crew on that ship. Roll a d6; on a result of 6, the target is immediately assigned to this ship. Its nationality changes to match the nationality of this ship.
Flavor text: “Baron Kriminel is a much feared spirit or Loa in the Haitian Vodou religion. He is envisioned as the first murderer who has been condemned to death, and is invoked to pronounce swift judgment. A person possessed by Baron Kriminel shouts obscenities, spits libations to all past criminals and threatens to kill surrounding people who violate them. If, during possession, Baron Kriminel is presented with food he does not like, he will threaten to bite chunks out of the arms of the possessed person. He sometimes calls for sacrifices of black chickens to be doused in petrol and set alight. The shrieking of the chickens when being burned alive is said to appeal to the cruel nature of Baron Kriminel and appease him. Baron Kriminel is said to be one of Baron Samedi’s many aspects.”
Ghede Nibo
Type: Crew
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: U
Point Value: 17
Ability: Chieftain (Chevals). Captain. Possession.Flavor text: “Ghede Nibo is a loa who is leader of the spirits of the dead in Haitian Vodou. Formerly human, Ghede Nibo was a handsome young man who was killed violently. After death, he was adopted as a loa by Baron Samedi and Maman Brigitte.”
Chevals (Native Canoes)
Type: Ship
Faction Affiliation: The Cursed
Rarity: U
Point Value: 12
Number of Masts: 1
Cargo Space: 0
Base Move: S+L
Cannons: 5S
Ability: Native Canoe. Whenever any crew is eliminated, roll a d6; on a result of 6, assign the crew to this ship. Its nationality changes to match the nationality of this ship and it becomes linked to this ship. [This ability (not these canoes) ignores the crew restrictions for native canoes.]Flavor text: “Chevals (“horses”, possessed devotees) can give voice to the dead spirits whose bodies have not been found or that have not been reclaimed from “below the waters”.”
For now I’m using Wikipedia text as flavor text for some of the loa, but not all.
For quite some time, I never thought the loa would see the light of day in a custom set of mine. I’ve considered making them a sub-faction of The Cursed, but I feel that adds pointless complexity and potential confusion. Now the time has come for them to arrive. Feedback welcome of course, but many of these are inevitably going to be some of the weirdest, wildest, and most expensive customs I’ve made.

This is just the beginning….
Ben
KeymasterMaybe in some future we’ll be able to make graphene ships with masts that don’t break upon assembly.
Ben
KeymasterIf you can afford the sticker shock, there is complete sets galore right now. After selling complete sets of DJC and OE for $500 each, this seller has CC, BC, and Caribbean available. Classic community member relvar99 has CC and FN up in addition to some other rare stuff.
Ben
KeymasterAnother idea for a multi-layered table: treasure chests or gold in the ground. Must take island off table and there is gold in a hole underneath. If entire table was like that (maybe a grid of squares or hexes to put things in?), could also use it for mines, submerged stuff, etc. This would require a unique table that had enough thickness, and would likely require custom editing to be feasible.
However, you could eventually use the idea for multiple functions – perhaps if a ship is sunk, it can remain a wreck “under” the surface of the table and you could put a thin clear material (perhaps plexiglass) over the hole in the table to restore the playing surface. Then that wreck could be searched or salvaged with custom divers equipment.
Ben
KeymasterToday is the one year anniversary of my Legend of the Giant Turtle game! One of the more memorable games I’ve played. 😀
Ben
KeymasterYou could do something similar with Pirates where after so many turns, everyone starts rolling a die/dice at the end of their turn. If anyone hits the specific target, the game ends.
Certainly an interesting idea, and dramatic. Could result in more desperate tactics earlier in games with a less predictable ending.
Though part of the reason I like the volcano idea is the aftermath – dealing with fires, seeing who made it through the chaos okay, and possibly venturing onto new land. It could also open up the possibility of land combat or greater zone control – building a fort on new volcanic land that can hit another fort on a regular island, or maybe Ramsgate’s L+L cannon having coverage of an enemy’s home island.
Ben
KeymasterSorry, I clicked edit on your post instead of reply.
No problem, though you should be able to go back a page without saving/submitting a post edit.
I think a better wording for the second part would be something like this:
“Unloading would still be a free action, but it wouldn’t happen automatically. While docked, the player could choose when to unload their ship and which treasures to unload.”
Thanks! I’ll change it to that with an “if no” in front because I think the reason I was getting confused was because the note assumes that someone is answering in the affirmative in the question… or something like that.
Ben
KeymasterFrom the Rules survey:
Do you think all standard treasure coins should be automatically unloaded when docking at a home island or fort?
Unloading would still be a free action, but players would get to choose which treasures to unload when docking at home.
Is this confusing? I feel like the note below the question contradicts the question, but I want a second opinion before changing it. I can’t seem to understand what my intention was when wording it that way.
Ben
KeymasterSeeing 2 auctions at $500 right now along with other goodies like a punched Guichuan.
It appears that Pirates is handling the financial storm incredibly well. Some of the recent “damage”:
Pirates of the Spanish Main pewter speed range ruler and token lot: $66
Punched, broken Zeus: $162.50
Baochuan: $96 (previous auction record that I recorded was $51!!)
SM tin w/4 packs: $65 (4 packs!?)
But also, some RotF/F&S LE’s for less than $5/each.
Punched Delusion: $66
CC island set: $51
Punched Guichuan: $127.50
I know it’s a pretty flawed record at this point, but my spreadsheet shows all six 10 masters averaging at least $30 each, which is something I don’t think I’ve seen there before. I think there was a time when the Zeus, Guichuan and Delusion were the only 10 masters to average $30+.
I mean, a broken 10 master for over $150. ? I still can’t get used to this! I got a near-complete set of SCS for $150 in 2014. The Baochuan has appreciated in value so much lately. A lot of the most recent 10 master auction prices are record highs, even when punched!
Ben
KeymasterThe latest in CG4! The Pirate fleet continues to grow (this time with quality not quantity) and the Cursed make an interesting decision! 😀
Ben
KeymasterSo thank you to Ben for entertaining me during some long downtimes at work.
Thank you for joining the site! Welcome aboard.
I also may have placed a sizable order for more Pirates from eBay.
