Ability: Loyal: The Cursed. (Eternal.) Once per turn, you may choose one friendly ship in play. That ship cannot be affected by the Fear keyword for this turn. Once per turn, give one friendly ship +1 to her cannon rolls for this turn.

This actually seems too expensive.  I don’t see that Fear immunity being worth more than 2…[Read more]

Once again I must apologize for all the mistakes in the Master Spreadsheet.  Most of them should be fixed now.

Corrections: Divers point cost from 2 to 1, RV #138 from Oarsmen to Oarsman, deleted “showing” from BC Serpiente’s ability text, fixed Admiral Yi’s ability text, SCS 030 cost changed from 6 to 2, added cost of 2 to SCS 085, changed…[Read more]

I think you might be better off making her like Roberto Santana, choosing one ship to give her bonus or whatever to.

Indeed.  Anything that gives a bonus to ALL ships in your fleet is usually OP by default.  I think you could also make it affect a specific number of ships, such as a maximum of 3 friendly Cursed ships. (when you reveal the crew, o…[Read more]

Never seen a dragon fight before! XD
Wow, the Spirit sinking the ST has to go down as one of the biggest mismatches or upsets in any Pirates game.
3:28 Ah, perhaps they haven’t seen each other since CTO in 2017, 2 years ago! XD
5:17 Not rooting for the French but that is an epic shot. Love the combination of flames, smoke, and wreckage.

Few small sales on HWG.

Abaddon seems really overpowered.  That removal ability is arguably too good, period.  It makes Oarsman, capturing, towing back home to repair, and Eternal all moot.  I think what happens to the cargo should be specified to avoid confusion (also removed from play?).  The negative ability is not enough to hold the ship back, and I think she sho…[Read more]

Baochuan alert!

There are a few prices for Spanish Main partial sets in my eBay history spreadsheet, but most of them were from a while back.  The first edition would probably command a little more money than unlimited, but I don’t think a lot more.

Whether punched or unpunched, any 5 masters from that set might do pretty well as singles.

Some stock here apparently… just found the store for the first time.

@Woelf: What do you think the “UT Hoard” ability is really worth? (Once per turn, if this ship is touching another ship, reveal all face-down treasure aboard the other ship. This ship can take as much unique treasure from the other ship as she can carry.)

The original WK price of 4 definitely seems too high, but I know you’re a big fan of…[Read more]

Pardon my frustration and venting.

I didn’t see it as that, I just sometimes feel the need to clarify that I cannot take on all the projects that the Pirates community would love to see done, at least not anytime soon.

I promise not to sell or profit from it.

I wish you could – I certainly have no problem with that.  😀  Based on what others h…[Read more]

One “solution” is to track down a copy of the actual magazine and hope that the contents are intact.  😀

In 2017 or 2018 I did some research and was able to find some information.  I think the first link originally went to a page where you could potentially buy the issue, but it looks like they’ve already changed their website since t…[Read more]

There is a site called The Continuing Committee that well, continues the Star Trek: CCG from Decipher when it officially became out of print and not being produced anymore.

That is a very cool site, I love their detailed info on tournaments and stats.  I am trying to continue Pirates CSG here at Pirates with Ben but I have limited time and…[Read more]

I wonder if this is what this pack is? Do we know who added this entry to the wiki page?

Great point.  That seems like the most likely possibility as of now, especially because two 1 card ships and two islands is what you think the pack contains.  However, putting them in an SM pack that says copyright 2005 is interesting, since one of the ships i…[Read more]

Here are some photos. It feels like there are only 2 cards in here plus 2 islands.

Thank you for the additional information!  That is a very thin pack.

I should have realized this because it’s a vertical artwork pack unlike the first edition horizontals, but the copyright date of 2005 confirms that it’s unlikely or impossible to be a prerelease…[Read more]

Some reasonable lots up, some might be worth taking a flyer on.  Still no bids on the SCS LE’s + Obago lot…

Time for a bump!  Thanks for your responses, just don’t take any surveys more than once!

😮 WOW!!!! That might be the most loaded ship ever to sail! The Santisima Trinidad has 20 total cannons, AND the Endeavour’s ability! O_O I think 15 extra cannons is the new record, if my English HMS Dreadnought from CG1 was the record holder at 10 extra and 15 total. So that’s up to 40 masts eliminated in one turn! (Just like 40 Blows to the…[Read more]

I would like to add custom bowsprits, etc…?

That sounds wild but hopefully someday!  I think it could revolutionize custom ships, if you could simply create digital artwork that the printer uses to print your design for you.  I can definitely think of some wild and epic sail designs….
