CNY Game

I met up with my friend Gino in Central New York for a 2 player, 60 point game! It was a USA250 theme, with the Americans vs the English.
I rolled to go first, sailing out with USS Alliance, USS Alfred, USS Reprisal and USS Providence. All ships from my Pirates Relaunch that I’ve made!
Gino was sailing HMS London, HMS Hyena, HMS Gaspee and HMS Hermes’ Sandals (which he did the artwork for):

Seeing London and Hyena splitting off to the south, I took a chance with the Alfred and dismasted the Hermes’ Sandals:
Alliance, Reprisal and Providence all loaded gold.
Both fleets regrouped, with the English avoiding any potential sargasso sea issues.
Alfred got caught in range though… Hyena and then London (with Myngs’ Marauders) teamed up to sink her! Esek Hopkins wouldn’t have any HI raiding chances today.
Alliance and Reprisal were able to dock home their gold on the next turn, with Providence en route as well. Gaspee tows HS back to repair.
A couple turns later and the Americans have hit the English at the center island! I had most of the d6 luck in this particular game, crippling the heart of the English fleet in a 2v2 attack.
My penchant for taking prizes was on full display, with London snagged by the Alliance and Hyena soon to join the American fleet as well.
With half the English fleet in American hands and more gold coming home, the game was all but decided. All ships returned to their home islands and the Revolutionary War redux was over!
