I would like to add custom bowsprits, etc…?

That sounds wild but hopefully someday!  I think it could revolutionize custom ships, if you could simply create digital artwork that the printer uses to print your design for you.  I can definitely think of some wild and epic sail designs….

Not at first glance, but it seems like the kind of ability that would inevitably get confusing once other abilities/UT’s are involved.

I am trying to edit the the Crew Card Template Bloodyriz made for download on Boardgame Geek.

Nice!  I haven’t played around with those enough, but I thought there was a blank template around somewhere.  It may have been at the Corsairs of Douglas County site (which is gone now), or someone else’s file.

You would have to print hulls and masts separate though. Oh and you would have to paint the ships too, unless you use brown black plastic for the hulls and white plastic for the masts. That could be a work around to painting just touches of details. Who knows what the future holds!?!

I must say that the Acclamator II’s flavor text confuses me.  I would think of a “full crew” as perhaps 4 crew, or at least captain/helmsman/oarsman for 2 spaces.  Extra weaponry would be equipment or maybe specialists/etc, all of which are likely to take up cargo spaces.  It feels like the ship should have 5 or 6 total cargo spaces, which of co…[Read more]

So why not simply say that the component of a ship’s base move is the bonus it gets if undamaged?

I’m surprised to say I haven’t used that or similar systems.  Thinking about it, it could be a way to curb the larger ships a bit, which can dominate against most smaller vessels (except the OP ones) in general gameplay.

Official WizKids Trade Currents were only available in the last set, Savage Shoes (SS), which was NOT sold in game packs, but was sold in booster BOXES, which contained one pre-built ship from SS, and what amounted to three (or two, I’m not certain) packs worth of SS as well as a packs’ worth from Rise of the Fiends and Fire and Steel.

Thank you!  I will take that into consideration as I resume looking at the sheet soon.  I personally find that aligning small bits of text (such as single digit numbers) in the center of cells is easier to look at and digest the information than having it aligned to one side.
