What the subtle difference in the MKL does is un-break Le Jongleur (MI-209), which technically wouldn’t be able to use its built-in HI-Raider ability at all if you took them exactly as WK had them written. In the Master Keyword List, Mercenary is listed as: “This ship cannot dock at its own home island, and must begin the game S away from its home island.”

Nice! Still flabbergasted that you managed to play a physical game with that many points. O_O Though CG4 did break the record in 2021, so in between CTO and CoEC22. 🙂
I can all but guarantee that during this round of turns, CG4 will re-establish itself as the all-time official record. XD

To me this leaves ambiguity on whether or not this is saying that the ship is not subject to the 2-action limit, or can simply be given 3 actions in a turn by default (without needing Sac/EA/etc). I assume the intent is the former, but the latter is a fair interpretation as-is. I rec…[Read more]

It’s a weird situation, because both the Kraken and the surrounded ship are basically locked in contact with each other from all directions. So while you can technically target either of them independently with that ability, neither can actually be moved without making contact (again) with the other.

If a kraken is surrounding a ship and is moved L by Tsuro, does the surrounded ship move with it or does it break the surround?

The production on that was a lot further along than I’d realized; aside from printing the actual cards for the book, it looks like it was mostly done.
It’s neat seeing the actual (maybe) artwork for the gem shards too, even if it was just in the book and not on UT tokens. It’s about what I expected. Nothing fancy, but it would serve the purpose well enough.
The fact that they added a tiny spot in the plastic shell for the micro dice is pretty funny. I’m kinda surprised they wouldn’t have used larger, more normal-sized dice for this at least. There would have been plenty of space for them… or even more than just two of the tiny ones.
