On the other hand, there are things like suicide fleets designed specifically to end the game as quickly as possible, with just enough of an advantage to claim the win, or simply to irritate other players who had longer-term plans.

Boarding could be an action on its own so if a ship rams, each turn as long as they were pinned they’d be able to initiate a board.

Would a free action be the best way to handle this?

“Why would you not want to unload standard treasure at your home island?”

Trade Route (whether used by you or an opponent), gold is safer on ship X, do not want the game to end, etc.

What is more important:
1. Fixing point costs? OR
2. Fixing rules?

Maybe see if anyone still does any gaming with it too, though I am completely out of the loop on how I would even go about that.

The VASSAL module is a way to play Pirates CSG virtually.

That wind system sounds quite interesting. I’ve only used wind rules a few times, with a similar but more basic system: mainly in the Experimental cumulative game and 6×150.

Do you ever have problems determining if a ship is going with/against the wind or not? Do ships get the bonus if only one move segment is with the wind?

Today is June 27th 2021. 10 years ago today I joined Miniature Trading! Although the site shut down on July 1st 2019, it was the hub of Pirates CSG on the internet for about the full 11 years since Wizkids shut down on November 10th 2008.

Privateer pieces are not eliminated if they dock at an island that shares a port and a fort.

Is that only possible/relevant at Voya Nui?
