That ship gains the Parley keyword for this turn.

This is actually quite powerful, because you can target a ship in the middle of a battle from far away, and make it very difficult to take down. @Xerecs/etc: Making your own custom ships could get a lot easier (and maybe even cheaper LONG term) with 3D printing! You probably saw the recent posts at the FB group; makes me want to get a 3D printer of my own! (I’ve already seen 2 recommendations there for printers under $300)

They are great! As my experience has grown over the years I’ve started to disagree with a few of them, but it’s a great resource and fun to just look through.

I love how the ships don’t have bases. A ton of naval games are dependent on a base of plastic/etc for the ship to sit on, which makes ramming, boarding, and point blank range much harder. I love how easy it is to use the ships from Pirates CSG. It also makes them easier to store and probably easier to use in multiple naval games.

Discovered this week whilst pulling a pretty sizable assortment from my “double dupes,” that I really love SCS. The assortment is for a friend new to the game, and because I had comparatively little from SCS to give to him, it emphasized what a player would be missing from a lack of those cards.

Purchased one of the 2007 Pirates of the Spanish Main RPG (Savage Worlds) hardbound books today, at my OOP-friendly neighborhood games shop.
