Took me forever to find the common Jack Hawkins from the first set, which is crazy because that is the only set I’ve bought a whole bunch of packs with. Eventually I just bought it online.
I always get a chuckle every time I see the Ocean’s Edge Deliverance. If I remember right. One of the sails has 2 different cannons on either side and both are different from what’s printed on the card. 😛
Can anyone help me find any of the following? I’m looking to buy. I know some of them are long shots, but I’d appreciate any help whatsoever, even if it is just for one thing. I don’t care if they have been punched out or used as long as nothing is broken and they have all the pieces/cards. Message me if you have any and we will see if we can work something out. It is a sad day. I think several games will be forgotten without that site. However, at least pirates will live on.
I miss the epicness of five-masters when first starting. I don’t know if it was just my friend group or what, but we could not pull five-masters from the first set. So when people finally had pulled 1 to use, it was like “woah!”
I also miss playing with others who lived nearby. We actually had every one choose an official faction(ex. pirate, viking- you could still use other ships, it was just who you were representing) and would gain ranks with the more wins we accumulated (ex. landlubber, deck swabber, first mate, captain, etc.) That’s actually why I go by “Dread Pirate” on here. It was the last rank I earned before we stopped playing. Good times.
Hello,
I got into the game close to it’s release. When I first started out there were like two packs at a place called Bookworld (the only place remotely close that had packs). They said they were getting more so I would get on my bike and travel there every day to see if the packs had arrived yet. They ended up being delayed several times so the poor lady who worked there had to deal with me asking her every day for like a month. That might give you an idea of how much I enjoyed the game.
I haven’t been able to play a real game since around 2009 so I’ve become more of a collector as of late. Beware, my fellow matey’s. I be after your booty.
Glad to be a part of the site. Been exploring a bit over the last few days and it’s really something. It may even be what’s keeping the pirate game alive. Thanks.
