The Pirates market is alive and well! Some recent auction prices to consider:
SM island terrain set: $102.50 (new high)
Zeus: $167.50 (new high, and possibly the highest amount for a 10 master since a Guichuan sold for $175, I think in 2018)
Dungeon (DJC LE): $24.50
Booty Finder: $26
Celtic Fury: $49.79
Near-complete set of DJC: $325Some DJC LE’s and other rare-ish stuff in that lot.
Some reasonable lots up, some might be worth taking a flyer on. Still no bids on the SCS LE’s + Obago lot…
Solid lot here with set and rarity variety.

This looks familiar… I think I also have at least one Fairfield box stuffed with unopened rules packets. XD Not sure why a picture of the actual packs isn’t included.

In addition to that lot I mentioned, plenty of interesting stuff being bid on right now. Newest are RV Constitution, big lot of SCS Promos and other stuff, and a sealed 36 pack box of MI.

Those 5 masters were all nail biters! We snagged the Celtic for around 60. I think the Zeus went for around 90$, and surprisingly the Delusion sold for more than a Baochuan both between 20-40 I think. I feel like the community truly showed what these ships are worth since the bidding started so low.

Nice. It’s bizarre to not know what stuff went for and not record it in my spreadsheet. XD Celtic Fury for $60 is a lot, possibly close to the second-highest for that one.

Wow, I actually did start watching those before I left or something. I’m seeing the Delusion for $23.50 and the Baochuan for $27.26, but maybe we’re looking at different auctions.

I probably got my wires crossed on the Delusion/Baochuan then..they were all from the same seller, right? so…..unfortunately….that Celtic…went to us hahahaha. I usually see them for 60-100 in bidding so I thought it was an ok buy…think I need to be more patient? ;-/

I think so, though I deleted them from my watch list.
Do you mean you see the Celtic Fury posted in the $60-100 range for Buy it Now? I rarely see that one go that high in bidding.
Extreme patience (along with being a super active and productive member of the community) was what got me all the 10 masters on a budget, but it’s just a matter of how bad you want them. (or specific ones)
Well…I have two left to hunt!!! I will probably stay away from buying on ebay for a while unless a gem comes along. Just gotta keep trolling or maybe trades!!!! *fingers crossed*
From a few recent listings I watched, it looks like prices have come down a bit this year. With the exception of an SM box of 36 packs for $263. A set of 8 busts sold for $58.
Still some decent things up, main auction I see is MIx18.

Looking at some of the completed listings for the first time in a while and surprised by how high some stuff is selling for… $85 for an SS box! (among others)
Some pretty good stuff being bid on right now… a Baochuan and 18 pack MI box end today. However, after that there will still be a GF9, F&S treasure card, and built copies of the Guichuan and Zeus up for grabs!
BROKEN, PUNCHED Zeus at $162.50 with almost 4 days to go!! (as we enter one of the worst recessions on record) O_O Sometimes this game has impressive staying power!!
Seeing 2 auctions at $500 right now along with other goodies like a punched Guichuan.
It appears that Pirates is handling the financial storm incredibly well. Some of the recent “damage”:
Pirates of the Spanish Main pewter speed range ruler and token lot: $66
Punched, broken Zeus: $162.50
Baochuan: $96 (previous auction record that I recorded was $51!!)
SM tin w/4 packs: $65 (4 packs!?)
But also, some RotF/F&S LE’s for less than $5/each.
Punched Delusion: $66
CC island set: $51
Punched Guichuan: $127.50
I know it’s a pretty flawed record at this point, but my spreadsheet shows all six 10 masters averaging at least $30 each, which is something I don’t think I’ve seen there before. I think there was a time when the Zeus, Guichuan and Delusion were the only 10 masters to average $30+.
I mean, a broken 10 master for over $150. ? I still can’t get used to this! I got a near-complete set of SCS for $150 in 2014. The Baochuan has appreciated in value so much lately. A lot of the most recent 10 master auction prices are record highs, even when punched!
