Interesting idea; I feel it adds another dimension to the game: make sure you are checking the time and have gold to win when time goes out… I’ll have to try something like that…

It could also be very helpful if you have little time to play but want to anyways.

Thanks, glad you liked it. Actually, I used MyPaint, a digital art software (it’s free and works in all operative systems); so basically, I literally painted the photos.

I’ve done that a bit too, especially in my Experimental cumulative game.

I’ve just read it; wow O_O. I’ve played with the idea of allowing ships to be purchased with gold, but I don’t think I’ve allowed factions to suddenly show up; I will have to try that…

I’m currently re-reading Beyond the reef; part of Alexander Kent’s Bolitho series, very good for Age of Sail enthusiasts.

I have a quite large backlog however, including Leviathan Wakes (first book of The Expanse series), various astronomy and birdwatching related books, other nautical themed books, etc.

I would be highly interested, if you still have them.

I would pay the shipping cost.
