    Now that the Rules survey has some results (37 responses as of this post), I think it would be a good idea to discuss some various options in detail.

    Are there any changes you would recommend in regards to explore actions?

    Exploring SHIPS should be free, not islands.

    I think I agree with this.  Although it would take time in real life to transfer cargo between vessels, it shouldn’t take nearly as long as exploring and island and finding or digging up valuables that are worth bringing all the way back to the ship.  I think it would also make transfers a bit more likely, which could be fun with stuff bouncing around often.

    Thoughts?

    Are you exploring a derelict ship, boarding an enemy ship, or just transferring cargo between your ships? There should likely be little to explore on a friendly cargo transfer.

    I think that at the start OR end of your turn you should be able to LOOK at all treasure on ONE ship that is in contact with your ship as a free action. (Thematically it would take time thats why I think resricting it to once per turn at the beginning or end of a turn would help display that its a limited action that does actually take time)

    I think this would apply to 1 and 3, since boarding is not part of an explore action of any kind.  I suppose exploring an enemy derelict for the first time could take a full action; from what I see I think the original rule proposed here would mostly apply to friendly transfers, whether it involves a derelict or not.

    I think that makes sense as well… so many small house rules we could potentially try out!  XD
