    Thanks Woelf!

I have a question about forts. When you’re shooting at a fort, do you have to aim for the fort itself, or would hitting the island it is built on be enough to target it?

You can target any part of the fort or its baseplate. Exposed parts of the island underneath don’t count, but also won’t block lines of fire.

Suppose I station a Marine or two on my home island. Can they be targeted by an enemy ship’s shoot action?

Can a home island raider load enemy crew or equipment from an enemy home island using the free transfer (while docked) rule? It seems so based purely on reading, but I assume the intent is no. Thought I had asked in the past but can’t find through forum search.

This ship may dock at an enemy home island and load one treasure. If able, she must leave on your next turn.

As a free action, a ship docked at (touching) an island or a fort can drop off and board crew or equipment, or transfer crew or equipment to and from another ship docked at the same island. You can’t dock at an opponent’s home island or at an enemy fort.

When an ability and a rule conflict the ability always takes precedence regardless of the terms used, unless specifically stated otherwise.
