Aye, thank you lad. I stumbled upon your quaint realm on my quest to re assembly my decimated armada. The shipyard they were moored at was destroyed in a mighty fire a fortnight or so ago. Lost 99% of my vessels, crew and booty. Now I search for replacements…. alas a very expensive quest. Although it dose do this old corsair’s heart good to see the seas still thrive and those such as yourself still keep the lighthouse lit.

Yikes, sorry to hear about that. I’ve got some extras I received for free a few years ago I could part with to help you rebuild, I’ll message you about it.
That would be much appreciated. As a sad point of what was lost….it might make you cry.

That’s kinda where I stopped collecting because my local stores stopped carrying it. I did manage to find a few fire and steel packs. All of this plus so many extras and duplicates.
I also have some extras I am willing to part with, specifically from Oceans edge and Revolution. I can give you the following:
Cutlass, Thompsons Island, Nightmare, La Bonne Chance, USS Aaron Burr, HMS King John, Death Wind, Lusca, HMS Concorde, Captain Montana Mays.

Hello. I’m new to the forum, and new to ‘Pirates with Ben’.
I played the game back around 2007-2008 with my daughter. We collected a bunch of ships, and other game pieces mainly from the ‘Oceans Edge’ release. A few years later we moved and I passed the game on to some other kids as my daughter seemed to lose interest.
Then the other night my now adult daughter texts me asking “Dad, did we used to build little boats together?” I sent her a YouTube video review of the game, where the fellow happens to mention ‘Pirates with Ben’. I was feeling pretty nostalgic for the old days of playing Pirates with my little girl, so naturally I hit eBay today and loaded up. LOL. Now we’ll be able to play again.
I used Ben’s site to do some quick research on what sets to aim for. I bought a full 36 pack box of ‘Revolution’, some ‘Mega Packs’ from Ocean’s Edge, a few individual ships I wanted, and six packs from the original Spanish Main set (not unlimited). That should get us started I hope.

The Corsair Lord again sails the table seas. Thanks to the generosity of friends old and new (looking at you Ben). I have returned to sink filthy English, scurvy French, and dishonorable Spanish pigdogs. Also a few other less than friendly buccaneers. My fleet now numbers around 400 ships along with too many crews to count. Theis has renewed an old passion, and I am so glad to have found this resource for such an amazing game. Thank you, Ben, for the time and effort you have put into this wonderful game and community.

I’m a longtime player / collector , but recently saw this and decided to get back into the fray!
Ahoy!
I used to play the game casually with my siblings when I was a kid. Didn’t have enough allowance to really get deep into the game as you would guess.
When things got weird during COVID, I rediscovered my old collection and set out to collect as much as I could. So definitely a collector now rather than a player.
I’m also on the discord server, I used to be much more active a year-ish ago but I’ve been busy with life recently. I just subscribed to do my part to keep the game alive!

My name is Duston and I am just getting started in to this wild world of little plastic boats. I stumbled upon this game on the web recently, and immediately felt like I missed out on a gem. So much so that I was motivated to seek out getting some packs online and let me tell you they have definitely gone up in price! I was able to wrangle 4 packs of SM unlimited, 4 packs of CC, 4 packs of BC and 3 of Revolution. I’m going to let chance determine how I start out my fleet and potentially build out from there with single ships if need be.
I saw there may have been one or two other players in the Northen Va. area were I am currently located so I may reach out to them if my friends are not interested. How could they not though!?
I also just wanted to say that I am glad there is a resource out there such as this site to keep the game going because there really is no reason why any good game should die. In a world full of subpar or overly complicated games when you find a good one with replay ability it should be considered timeless. 🙂
So thank you to Ben for putting everything together and providing so much information so it is easy and accessible to get in the know, jump on board and become a sailing man. You really did a great job here and I really appreciate your efforts.

Was catching up on some older The Shogunate YouTube videos and came across his naval one. Saw the promo and was immediately like, here take my money. Very cool. Excited to play with my kids. Who are also samurai super nerds like me. Please keep expanding the Sengoku period ships. Like maybe a samurai style castle island. Anyways, thanks for all your hard work.
