THIS GAME IS EPIC!!!!!!!!
Also just wondering where do you mateys get the 3D Islands from?
August 13, 2020 at 4:40 PM #11717XerecsModeratorHaha, thanks for watching!
Almost all of the 3D islands I made myself with rigid insulation foam. The ones I didn’t make are the two that make up the Split Island. Those came randomly in an eBay lot I won a few years back.

Century of Economy 2020, Report 10 is now up!
May 25, 2021 at 12:18 PM #13222May 26, 2021 at 1:39 AM #13228BenKeymasterNo reason for the French to be confused – the victory conditions are quite clear. If they don’t feel they can win a war with the Pirates and/or Spanish, they need to launch to make up for that deficit.
The Blood Islands sinking (at the end of 11 turns right, not this current round?) reminds me of Water World a little and a new question for both – how to treat Titans that are touching ONLY an island that is supposed to sink. Do they sink with the island, or float? XD
I would want them to float if any part of them touched water.I just realized you posted Report 10 exactly one year after your first posted the intro thread on PwB.
Definitely some parallels to other games here. The Spanish being a little disorganized reminds me of them towards the end of CG1, with the Pirates their likely foe here instead of the English. Spanish should eliminate the Americans, which happened in CG1. Will be interesting to see if a classic rivalry is soon renewed….

Hopefully that won’t happen for the 21 game…..

Yes….. did it seem like I implied otherwise?

I think you said “at the end of the current resource round”, which for a second made me think it meant the current round overall.
May 26, 2021 at 12:44 PM #13245XerecsModeratorReport 12 is now up! Crazy stuff is happening!
May 27, 2021 at 12:51 AM #13246BenKeymasterSome interesting developments for sure. It would be neat to see a 3 way battle with Pirates vs. French vs. Spanish. The French do actually have a lot of firepower in play, they just haven’t fought as much as the other two so far.
May 27, 2021 at 1:56 PM #13255May 28, 2021 at 12:45 AM #13256BenKeymasterThat Spanish Eternal fleet could be interesting if it changes how an adversary fights. An opponent will want to strip those ships of crew (oarsmen) or need extra cancelling help to deal with them. As long as those Spanish ships have plenty of support, it could be a real pain to deal with.
May 28, 2021 at 12:23 PM #13260XerecsModeratorAs long as those Spanish ships have plenty of support, it could be a real pain to deal with.
The Spanish plan to keep lots of support around them. The overall idea is to get the entire fleet (squadron) all in one place with some of the other Spanish capital ships, and/or other ships they have that are Eternal. In other news,
Report 14 is now here!
May 31, 2021 at 2:19 PM #13270May 31, 2021 at 3:07 PM #13271BenKeymasterReally interesting French attack on The Devil’s Maw.
I’m interested in that Acorazado setup with Blanco.
May 31, 2021 at 8:59 PM #13274XerecsModeratorI’m interested in that Acorazado setup with Blanco.
I don’t think it’s mentioned in detail, but the Spanish have two cargo masters in play, giving the Acorazado 7 total. Blanco reduces the cost of all crew aboard after himself and costs 2 points. The Spanish then added Empress Kida (FoBI, 7 point merc Capt.+WH), Castro, Vega, Diaz, helmsman, cannoneer, and oarsman.
There was a reason they moved Luis Zuan from the Acorazado to the Trinidad, but I forget now what it was. Possibly related to the extra cannons or something on the Trinidad.

Someday (likely for me in CG4) there will be a “customsgeddon” where there are far more customs in play than Wizkids ships, and nobody watching will have any idea what’s going on because they haven’t heard of any ships mentioned in a battle report. XD I like the 4 master with the Frontier masts, neat look.
Maybe I’m biased since they’re winning, but I think I’m rooting for Spain but still happy for the French for not being passive savers to the end.

I suspect that’ll happen to me as well. For now I limit custom stuff to only ships and crew we’ve made, and only up to Pirates of the Dark Tides. We do this firstly so that WK ships and crew aren’t overshadowed too much, and up to Dark Tides is as far as we’ve managed to get with bringing ships off the paper. I suspect that’ll change in next few years, what with 3D printing becoming more prevalent and easier.
That’s likely the Justice you’re seeing, captured American Battleship. The American player was real salty when the Spanish stole it.
Report 18 is now up!
June 3, 2021 at 11:29 PM #13299BenKeymaster(spoiler alert) I like how the strategy makes sense – that the Pirates would wait until the opportune moment to strike, and that the Spanish and French might be able to make amends seeing a common foe.
June 4, 2021 at 12:55 PM #13301June 4, 2021 at 1:32 PM #13303BartekParticipantkeep it up Guys, it’s great
June 7, 2021 at 4:21 PM #13310June 7, 2021 at 7:27 PM #13311BenKeymasterGlad the Spanish are trying hard to preserve the Santisima Trinidad.
That Baochuan town capture was epic to me, nice appearance all of a sudden and coup by the Pirates.
Wow the Zeus is basically running over the VW and Divine Wind!

It was epic, and it was a complete oversight by the Spanish. They forgot that the Baochuan was in the area and didn’t figure that the pirates would try and take back the triangle island.
June 9, 2021 at 12:12 AM #13313BenKeymasterI said whoa out loud like 3 times when I saw that Branwen move. THAT’S THE KINDA PLAY I’M TALKING ABOUT!! XD 😀
I love how the Spanish protected El Acorazado.
Really impressed by that random group of Furia, Antamasia, and Clear Wind. They did a great job.
17:19 is a picture of the year candidate IMO. Especially at full screen. Not only showing the forest of masts, but colorful, sunlight, and lots of interesting stuff to look at.
GREAT use of Periscope!! Impressive how it can go through the double defenses like that.
Have you considered having fire stuff only work with the 2 hits/mast rule? Like we’re doing in CG4, where fire stuff doesn’t bypass that rule like it normally does.

Yes I have considered it. However I don’t think one of my brothers would get on board with it, the other one I’m not so sure.
They actually aren’t too upset with the fire stuff, they both have issues with the canceller ability and have asked either for a limit on how many can be in a fleet, a total ban, or a house rule that changes how they function.
