No not that Fantasma. If I’m hopping through whirlpools I’ll need to be ready to give up some crew if I roll badly.

I had the oarsmen on the MB to be sacrificed to whirlpools and Dead Man’s Chest. But the no-stacking rule kills that idea…

That frees up some space, doesn’t it. Swap out the Captain on Darkhawk II for Captain Blackheart then. I like that a lot, actually.

I’ve been working on a glorified fanfic loosely based on Hawkins/Blackheart/Lady Arcadia. May post a link to the doc in the coming weeks, my idea is to make it so that it can be read front to back as a continuous story or as a short story collection.

I messaged them, since they said to inquire about shipping if you live outside the UK. Might just buy it though.

Howwww have I never come across Le Bon Marin before today? Instantly one of my favorite ships. I need to find a copy somewhere.

This kinda confirms what I mentioned earlier about the French having a really good showing in PotR. My only regret is that I can’t use Le Favori, Le Courageux, La Belle Etoile, and this ship all in one 40 pt fleet.

I’ve been making pure/almost pure Spanish Main fleets since my nostalgia kick which got me into hunting down the ships I’ve always wanted, but never pulled. Here’s two:

I typically play the standard 40 point, 4 island, 30 gold game. And it’s fun and balanced but just so quick. I’ve also played 100 point deathmatch, which is fun but typically whoever goes first wins. I hadn’t heard about the MT crisis until like last week. It’s sad to hear :/ There’s definitely plenty of Pirates fans out there but as you said the MT scare seems to have scattered people.

My first two packs were one Spanish Main and one Crimson Coast. So I might’ve pulled Encounter from the CC pack but I could’ve sworn it was from SM!

France always seemed like the best all-around nation to me and in any strategy game like this I like to go for versatility.
