Two thoughts I had would be if the ship was crewed when it was sunk, the owner can do a sort of “saving throw” if they roll highed than the number of masts the ship had when it started it becomes a wreck.

Neat.  Though I think it should have to be within S of an island or reef for that to happen.

The searchable reference database will be by far the biggest loss, at least as far as non-personal items are concerned. Is that something that could eventually be recreated here, or on an attached website?
