Looking for ideas and experience on various ways to make ships

Looking for additional information/opinions on the following POTENTIAL ways to recreate the ships. Feel free to comment your experiences with any of them and their feasibility in regards to making Pirates CSG ships with them. (either from a card or just the pieces without the card of course)
-3D Printers
-Laser cutting
-Cricut
-CNC Routers
-Others??
I am in the early phase of doing some research and there are more options out there than I thought. There is so much interesting stuff to know!!
So far it seems like the slots where hull pieces and masts are inserted could be the biggest issue. Getting that finesse right so the pieces fit together as well as the originals.

For me at least, health concerns (like giving off fumes or needing an open-air workspace) are more of an issue than budget.
