Hi, new here, and I am curious if anyone has any information on what the rarity values for game pieces actually mean.
e.g. What are the odds of finding common/uncommon/rare in any given pack? Do these odds very by set? etc.

I’ve never seen that information; it’s not (ever to my knowledge) published like with other card packs such as Yugioh and from what I remember, some baseball card brands. I will say that it seems easier to get “better” rarities in my experience than in other games like Pokemon and Yugioh that have a more fixed rarity distribution pack system. Plus, you can find Pirates packs that have all rares in them, which is neat.
I think the odds varied by set for the Super Rares, but I’m not sure about other rarities. For example, the SR’s from RotF and SS were more common than the SR packs for other sets (especially RV through FN from what I’ve seen and experienced).
If I remember correctly, in PotR and DJC the card packs with ultra rares were in any second card pack box. I talked to the shop owner were I used to buy boxes and he told me that.
But if it’s actually true, I’m not sure.
Rarity distribution is information that Wizkids has never released in any meaningful way, so anything known is largely anecdotal. People who have opened and cataloged numerous boxes have probably noticed some patterns, but it didn’t help that it seemed to vary wildly from set to set, and sometimes even regionally.
Then there was that short time when several people reported finding “god boxes” that were loaded up with multiple super rare packs. (I can’t recall which set that was. Anyone else remember? PotC?)

Definitely Caribbean. Though I want to say someone said they had at least one similar box from RotF I think. Pretty sure I remember seeing at least one person that found SR packs in consecutive SS Scavenger Pack boxes too, so in general the SR’s from the last 4 sets were just not as “super” rare.
