I republished my Miniature Reviews from Miniature Trading.  Here is the format you can use to publish MR’s on this forum.  The bold/etc formatting tags are there for reference; you would paste this into the Text version of the post editor.  I can’t seem to find the original format from MT (with the descriptions for each section as defaults from the website whenever starting a new MR), but I’ve written basic equivalents instead.  The Competition section was never an “official” part of MR’s, but I find it quite useful. (I was not the one who started it)

(Optional: picture of game piece – found here)

This is handy to have for anyone that wants to keep writing reviews (or update previous ones).

Is there a good place for others to post them? Creating a whole new section of the forums might be a good option if there’s enough demand for it, and this post (or a duplicate of it) could be made into a sticky at the top for easy access.

That Google drive link to all of the images should be really useful too. Adding the names to each image (after collector number, so they remain sorted properly) would be super helpful, but is an understandably big undertaking. Do the different folder numbers indicate anything, or is that just for sorting purposes?

I’m fine with people creating a new thread for their reviews, or posting them here in this thread.  I hate to be pessimistic, but I highly doubt there will be enough demand to justify creating another forum for them – I ran a Miniature Review Contest a few years ago with one of Rossinaz’s beautiful islands as the prize, and I don’t think anybody had their review in by the deadline.  The MR section was quite dormant for the past 2-4 years, and I’d rather focus on more important things that I may not have time for either.

The folder numbers are raw – they are exactly what httrack pulled from MT when I started frantically saving stuff in August 2018.  The Best Posts widget is not on a forum sidebar, but this post is on the other sidebars across the site.

I think that reviews may get lost in the forum if they are regular forum threads, so I agree with Woelf’s sentiment.

Letting them go into the regular forum is probably fine for now. They would get much better/more responses here instead of being sequestered off in an adjacent area. If there is a sudden influx of reviews, and a new forum section was added, I assume any created beforehand would be relatively easy to move over.

Exactly.  Indeed, it is easy for me to move threads (and even replies I think) between forums.
