Howdy, I’m wissenlander in most areas. I got this handle a while back when playing Warhammer Fantasy. I played Empire and Wissenland was my favorite province.
I sort of got into Pirates about 10 years ago now. I got a few packs and played it a bit but it never really stuck at the time. Didn’t have anyone to play with. It was always in the back of my mind as something I wanted to get into. I have two young sons that are starting to get to the age where miniature games would appeal to them. We’re a big board gaming family and with my previous experience in tabletop gaming I thought this would be a good intro game for them.
I’m probably more gamer than collector, but I can definitely feel the urge to want to collect. But the ships are honestly what got me into the game. It’s good quality/presentation without being insanely cost prohibitive.
