This is informal – feel free to submit your own favorite contributions from 2024! 2023 version for reference
These are my favorites from what I’ve done:
Fleet of the Year: HMS GT UPS
Pictures of the Year:
Tough to pick just one, so here’s a couple that represent the production progress I made this year. This one represents 3 different custom sets coming to life: a Super Rare holographic from Epic Seas thwarted by a new Dutch ship from Golden Seas, which has been rammed by a brand new Japanese ship type from Age of Sail.
This was a crazy moment where the Corsairs defended their Lighthouse of Alexandria as night fell in a crazy battle. USS America and HMS Devastator led an allied charge that eventually destroyed the massive lighthouse.
Game of the Year: Game 3 of Tournament #3 Finals – HMS GT UPS vs. Kill that UPS
Honorable mentions: 4×60 of June 26th – Debut of USS America and The Lighthouse of Alexandria, and another game whose battle report will be published in 2025
Video of the Year: Pirates of the Golden Seas ad (30 second “TV spot”)
Podcast of the Year: Only one this year: Podcast #68 with Vulkan
“Thing” of the Year: PRODUCING THE GAME 😀
Theme of the Year: Restarting Pirates!
Event of the Year: Probably the Golden Seas announcement day (June 8th). Close behind would be the launch of my Store (June 1st), Golden Seas release day (August 10th), the launch and reveal of USS America, finishing my custom version of HMS Victory with full historical art, and various production breakthroughs.
