Im honestly amazed there are so many packs of these out there still, I just bought a 36 pack for $1.50 a pack, I just find that amazing for a game that hasn’t been in circulation for a while now.

When do you think these things will start jumping drastically in price?

I’m not convinced it will be sudden and drastic.  I think it will be more slow and steady as it has mostly been for the past ~3-4 years or so.  Some packs have already gone up in price; CC and DJC have become much harder to find, and SCS always commands top dollar.  I think there would be a bit of a panic if HWG sold out of a ton of stuff all at once (unlikely), or if something caused them to go offline/out of business.  Not that there are no other reasonably priced packs out there, but most of the stuff I see on eBay nowadays seems somewhat overpriced and Amazon is pretty much disgusting.  XD

I’m glad we haven’t come close to running out of packs yet – shows how big the game was in the 2000’s and how much of it Wizkids made.

We’re also overdue for a recession, which should only serve to decrease prices on something as niche and entertainment-based as Pirates.

Interesting perspective, another question I have is why are At Oceans’ Edge packs so common/cheap? Did they make the most of those?

I haven’t seen hard numbers on packs printed by set, but it definitely seems that they printed far more OE than anything else.  HWG and some other places have run out of high-quantity sets like DJC, but OE always seems to be common and cheap.  The oversaturation of the set has led to it being cheap for a long time now.

It would be interesting to know what the actual print quantity was; it feels like they must have printed at least twice as much OE as any other set.
