Replacement Ship Parts

Description

Replacement parts for original ships.  $5 per piece (one mast/one deck piece/etc).  Please read this entire product description before purchasing.

• Production lead time: 3 business days (prior to shipping)
• Only ships in the Scan Project database qualify for this product. If there are no scans of the ship, I cannot make replacement parts for it. Some scans are of higher quality than others, so that can be a small limitation on the final product quality – overall the artwork will likely be slightly less resolution than an original ship.
• The parts are glossier than the originals, due to using a completely different production method.
• The thickness of the replacement parts may differ from the originals due to the extra thickness added by a decal – total thickness of the decaled areas is in the 1-1.3mm range.  Some parts such as masts have decals on both sides, whereas a deck piece only has a decal on the top and is blank on the bottom.
• There are some areas where there is a little less artwork due to the overlapping parts where the decals would otherwise pinch up. On parts with tabs, this is so the extra thickness added by the decal doesn’t ruin how the parts fit together. See picture for examples of where there is no decal in certain spots, which makes construction easier and more reliable.
• Parts are test-fitted with an original model, but I cannot guarantee perfect fit due to slight slot size differences from my original models compared to yours.
