Custom ships for Pirates CSG made with 3D printed PLA and laminated glossy vinyl decals. Tentative goal is to add one ship type per week, so check back as additional designs become available!
Production lead time: 2 business days (prior to shipping)
There are two options for creating your own custom ship artwork – this Inkscape SVG file (editable template and my preferred way to make ship artwork), or this PNG artwork template (blank and ideal if you want to just draw from scratch). If you use the PNG template, please download this document for inputting your custom ship stats and abilities. When it’s ready, reply to your purchase confirmation email with the completed document as an attachment.
Deckplate: Double-sided and in the original card size of 3.5″x2.5″.
Disclaimers: These are made with additive manufacturing, so there is only 1 card per ship (the deckplate card). The models are still constructible, but you do not punch them out of cards. In addition, there are some areas of the ship where there is a little less artwork due to the overlapping parts where the decals would otherwise pinch up.

I designed the Revenant custom that’s featured on this page.
Ben’s customs are made from a 3D printed material that’s heavier and thicker than Wizkids polystyrene, but much more durable. If you’ve ever had a mast snap, you can appreciate that extra durability. The Revenant was very easy to assemble, and from table distance is almost indistinguishable from an official piece.
The one complaint I have is the decal stickers. They’re a little glossy, and on most ships that doesn’t matter. However, because the Revenant has very dark sails, the gloss is more noticeable. I also had to re-glue one of the hull decals when it started to peel off, but that was after heavy play. It’s still much easier to fix than if it was scratched like an official piece.
I’m very happy with how the Revenant turned out, and I would definitely trust Ben to make more customs in addition to this one and my Canghai Shi.

Thanks for the review! Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out production with UV printed styrene, which won’t be as glossy. Glad you like the durability, it’s a nice upgrade.
